Another Waec Candidate Tests Positive To Coronavirus In Akwa-ibom

Speaking during the media chat held in uyo Monday, the governor of akwa ibom state, Emmmuel Udom, announced to the public that a West Africa examination council Candidates has tested positive to coronavirus.



He said the affected Candidates is asymptomatic and made it clear he will ensure the student affected won't miss out on anything from the class.

He further disclosed many students, over 100 Students have been tested but only a young man in the state tested positive for the virus.

Emmanuel udom stated that the believe the young man should have been okay by now following the medical care going on.

He assured the public that everyone are in excellent health condition because he had put everything in place to ensure that the students are quite safe.

“I have directed all my Special Assistants to go to all the schools, monitor the level of compliance with the safety protocols and give us report/feedback in case of any emergency."

“Students ensured they observed all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines before starting their respective examination.
We want to ensure our whole students are safe even while writing their examination,” he said.

Further more, Governor Emmanuel stated that they have made available over 100,000 face masks and sanitizers to the schools writing the examination across akwa ibom.

With the report gotten now, all students are doing well, "it is left for them to reciprocate by giving us excellent WAEC result," he added.
