NIN-SIM Verification Extended Till 30th Of June 2021 - Dr Pantami


In a press statement released by the National Identify Management Commission (NIMC) it State's clearly that the Federal government has approved the extension of the NIN-SIM Verification. 

The NIN-SIM Registration deadline has been postponed to the 30th of June 2021.

However this was approved because of online meeting chaired by the honourable minister of communications and digital economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami,FNCS, FBCS, FIIM and the following officials attended this meeting.

They include, Prof Adeolu Akande, Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof Umar Garba dambatta, the executive chairman/CEO of NCC and Engr Aliyu Azeez the National Identify Management Commission (NIMC).


The stakeholders requested for a postponement of the deadline to the 30th of June in order to make it easier for all the citizens and legal residents to enroll.

It was also disclosed that over 54 Million people have obtained their NIN and this could also be translated to up to 190 Million mobile numbers, since it is Known that each unique NIN maps to 3 to 4 phone lines.

Also There is now goodnews for all Nigerians as the very much anticipated Android Enrollment system is now very much ready for deployement and this has however boosted the speed and enhanced easy enrollment.

Telecom providers and all other enrollment agents has opened several centres across the country to make it easier for eligible citizen and residents obtain their NIN.

Dr Pantami however saw the postponement as a way of reducing the stress and pain of citizens during registration, he also congratulated and thanked Nigerians for always complying with the Federal Government directives in the NIN-SIM Registration process.
